Arduino Flight controller

Although there are controllers on the market that are dedicated just to control a quadcopter, the Arduino Uno has endless capabilities. There are so many things you can do with an Uno other than just building a quadcopter. Arduinos are relatively easy to program and simple to use unlike the Raspberry Pi for example. There are an endless number of open source projects and circuits you can build with an Uno and if your quadcopter build is unsuccessful, you can reuse it for much cheaper and just as fun projects.

Click on the image to the left to be directed to an Arduino kit which has many more additional electronic components that you can play around with and experience. It’s a great kit if this your first time meddling with electronics and I recommend it for this build because it has several components that you’re going to need like the LEDs, a 9v battery, a snap-on connector clip with an male DC power jack, wires, etc.
